In typical fashion, a first grade teacher of gifted students has a lot to learn from her students. Such was the case when the Seabury School first graders joined millions of students in over 180 countries for Hour of Code activities.
This young student intuitively mastered Dance Party.
She became the expert and all came to her for advice.
This is what a coding program looks like.
We spent over a week playing with "Hour of Code" activities.
Some students choose to continue to learn during our Friday afternoon Genius Hour.
This program is called Code Spark Academy.
Minecraft is very popular at Seabury.
Frozen is popular, too.
These kids have been using Kodables since Pre-K!
"They say that these kids will be doing jobs that haven't been invented yet. Hour of Code makes me a believer!"
~Mrs. Towne, First Grade Teacher
