As we integrate our study of Westward Expansion
across the curriculum,
all the above subject areas are included.
TECHNOLOGY:
Technology is all around us. As an educator, I find that it is important to learn how to incorporate the tool of technology in a way that will equip my students for their futures.
During our study of Westward Expansion, we've been using the powerful tool of PowerPoint.
Our journey, based on the curriculum found at http://www.cyberbee.com/wwho/, has been made into a PowerPoint slide show with pictures, videos, and links that we show as we come to each point on the Oregon Trail.
It makes it much more up close, personal, and REAL!
This wagon group is making a decision

A few props help create the atmosphere, also.
Now it's our turn!
We've read several tall tale books, watched a few tall tale videos, and now we're going to write and make our own tall tale picture book using PowerPoint!

Making it very exaggerated
Excited to start typing
Hands on home row
Each story is unique
Can't wait to get these finished!
