Dr. Seuss Read Across America Day Activities Plus an Eagle Cam

One of Seabury School's favorite traditions is celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday and his wonderful legacy of spreading the joy of reading.

PreK through 8 all wore their pajamas and joined the nation in reading Dr. Seuss's books.

Sisterly love

We also had a school wide trivia contest.

Who was the girl in The Cat in the Hat?
Sally? Yes! We got a point!

Navigator teamwork!

The Navigators often spend their free time drawing.
Here are some fun, creative drawings of the Cat in the Hat.

We've also been watching an eagle cam in Iowa and saw the first egg on Dr. Seuss Day! As we watched it snow on one of the parents, we were reminded of this quote from Horton Hatches the Egg

"I meant what I said
And I said what I meant
An [eagle's] faithful,
One hundred percent!"

 The 100% faithful eagle!

There are now three eggs!
